Tutorials
Important: This tutorial only applies to emails that are being redirected to an external email address, such as Yahoo, Hotmail or BT etc. The program used in this example is Outlook Express for the PC, and should also apply to Outlook.
Duplicating your existing account

Step 1: First you need to open Outlook Express. If the program tries to dial up to the internet, you can cancel the Dial-Up Connection box, as you do not need to be online to set this up.
You need to make a copy of your existing email account, where the emails are being redirected to. To do this, go to the Tools menu, and select Accounts.

Step 2: Click on your existing email account so that it is highlighted. You need to make a copy of this, so you now click on the Export button. A standard file dialogue box appears, with the default Save directory as My Documents. The filename is already filled in - all you need to do here is click on the Save button.

Step 3: You need to change the name of the existing account before you can create a copy of it, otherwise Outlook Express will report an error. Click on your existing email account, so that it is highlighted, and click on the Properties button

Step 4: On the General screen, which appears automatically, change the name of the account in the Mail Account section and then click the OK button.

Step 5: Now you are ready to create a duplicate of the existing account that you can modify to use your domain name. Click on the Import button to bring up the standard file dialogue box. Select the file you saved in Step 2 and press OK.

Step 6: To modify the email address, you now need to click on the new account so it is highlighted, and then click the Properties button.

Step 7: On the General screen, about halfway down, is a field marked E-mail address. This will currently contain your old email address (eg me@myname.freeserve.co.uk). Delete this email address, and enter the email address you want to use that contains your domain name (eg enquiries@domainname.com).
The last thing that needs to be done is to untick the box at the bottom marked Include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing. This will stop Your email program from connecting to the same account twice. Click on the OK button, then click on the Close button to get out of the Accounts section.
Now, when you create a new email, you will notice that there is a drop-down list in the From field, and you can choose between your old free email address or your email address that uses your domain name.
